The Baywest Boulevard interchange will provide direct access from the N2 to the newly constructed Baywest Mall, from 8am on Thursday, 21 May.
Motorists are requested to exercise caution when using these new roads as workers are still executing final completion works.
Commuters from the Western suburbs of Port Elizabeth who utilise, among others, Walker Drive will now be able to access the N2 Port Elizabeth freeway directly via Baywest Boulevard interchange.
The interchange is expected to reduce peak hour traffic congestion, particularly on Kragga Kamma Road and at the Bramlin interchange.
This interchange construction has been a joint initiative between SANRAL, the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality and the Baywest Mall developer.
