The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) wishes to inform road users that the N2 highway between John Tallant and Settlers Way in Gqeberha, has been reopened. The road was temporarily closed twice since Friday afternoon due to debris deposits from the sea near Deal Party.
The road maintenance team worked throughout the weekend to clear the rock debris at low tides. Motorists are advised to drive with caution as the maintenance team will continue work on this section to ensure the safety of motorists.
SANRAL will continue to monitor the sea conditions and urges motorists to obey instructions from traffic officials.
“We appreciate the public’s cooperation during the road closure and urge everyone to continue exercising caution while driving,” said Mbulelo Peterson, Regional Manager for SANRAL’s Southern Region.
