Mpho Popps kicked off his national tour Black in my Day at Port Elizabeth’s Opera House which will then be followed by a number of other venues around the country. Black in My Day is a trip down memory lane and speaks about Mpho’s life from when he was growing up until now. It is a play on what life was like back in the day as a black man and steering those challenges. Popps initially got noticed on the SABC1 competition So You Think You’re Funny, since then he has remained consistent having bagged many shows and also acting gigs. He is arguably one of the most recognised faces in comedy in the country and he now joins us in studio to tell us more about his upcoming tour.
