Media briefing by the Minister of Police and the Acting National Commissioner of the SAPS regarding countrywide Safer Festive season operations: 12 January 2017:

The Minister of Police, Mr Nkosinathi Nhleko cordially invites members of the news media to attend a media briefing on Thursday, 12 January 2017 at 11:00 at GCIS in Pretoria.

During the briefing, Minister Nhleko and the Acting National Commissioner of the South African Police Service, Lieutenant General Khomotso Phahlane, will announce the outcome of the Safer Festive Season policing operations which were conducted nationally between October 2016 and January 2017.

The media briefing will be held as follows:
