Mantis brings back top Lilizela Awards – MyPR.co.za

Mantis brings back top Lilizela Awards:

Oceana Beach & Wildlife Reserve – Port Alfred

Mantis is very proud to announce that two Eastern Cape hotels within its luxurious collection of hotels, eco-escapes, and luxury houseboats were finalists in the 2019 National Lilizela Awards which took place on Saturday 9th November at the Sun Arena in Pretoria.

Royal St Andrews Hotel & Spa by Mantis in Port Alfred qualified for the National Awards after taking the hat trick accolade of Best of the Best Four Start Hotel of the Eastern Cape in September this year. Oceana Beach & Wildlife Reserve won two awards at the seventh annual Lilizela Tourism Awards in the ‘Best 5 Star Boutique Hotel’ and the ‘Lap of Luxury Guest Experience’ categories and is the only hotel to take home more than one Lilizela Award on Saturday. The prestigious awards recognise the best services and properties in the South African Tourism Industry.

We think Oceana Beach and Wildlife Reserve is made extra special by its location. Set on a wildlife reserve on the Sunshine Coast of the Eastern Cape; it is flanked by a stretch of private, white-gold beach and surrounded by plains animals. This setting is matched by superb cuisine and a caring, almost perfectionist, service standard. We believe that this is what sets Oceana apart as a boutique Hotel and defines it as a first-in-class luxury experience. However, read what Oceana’s guests have to say:

“Exotic, Relaxing, Amazing!
WOW! Just Wow! We stayed 3 nights at Oceana, and there is no other way to describe it as Heaven high on a bluff overlooking the Indian Ocean. It is absolutely spectacular in every way. It is secluded and exoctic, where the staff greets you with warm cloths and wonderful drinks, and then the spoiling continues from there. Everybody we met was warm and friendly, always smiling and always accommodating. Our bungalow was all glass which retracts on the back side, opening to a huge private terrace, where it was just us and the Indian Ocean’s constant roar – talk about lulling one to sleep! Two bathrooms, mine had a big jetted tub, and my husband had a dual head rainshower. Mind you, the spectacular ocean is right there. The food was A+, and as much to drink as you desire, with an incredible wine selection. They brought us to the beach, and made a picnic the likes of which I have never seen! We walked the beach, and when we got back, the table was set with cloth napkins, wine glasses, champagne flutes, and endless trays of food, from kebabs to sliders, salad to cheeses and nuts, fruit, wonderful puff pastries , food for a king (and queen!) There was also a cooler dropped off, with not one, not two, but 8 bottles of beer, and a big bottle of champagne! We were all by ourselves, the only people for miles. On our last night, they drew us a wonderful bath with rose petals – this place has it all, and I highly recommend!” Tripadvisor, October 2019
