With South Africa’s year-end season of conferences, awards and launches getting under way in October, Mann Made Media is inviting brands and agencies to book its Sandton production campus for hybrid broadcasts, virtual events and studio shoots in the last quarter of 2026. The Johannesburg-based brand experience agency, which has produced events and content since 2003, runs a Wendywood facility with two production-ready green screen studios, a broadcast control setup and an in-house production floor. Clients can record, stream and finish their content all in one place.
A growing number of organisations now stage their biggest moments for two audiences at once: guests in the room and viewers joining online. Serving both well takes more than a laptop and a camera. Stable power, fast connectivity, trained crew and a set that reads well on screen all matter. Mann Made has shaped its studio offering around these practical requirements and linked it directly to the agency’s broader event, video and animation teams.
A look at the Wendywood facility
Located at 34 Bowling Avenue, Wendywood, Sandton, the campus has two premium green screen studios configured for fast keying. That makes them a good fit for virtual sets, presenter-led explainers and recorded keynotes that will be composited into branded environments afterwards. During a booking, master control is run by Mann Made’s own professional technical directors, sound engineers, camera operators and autocue specialists.
Anyone who has watched a live stream collapse at a critical moment will appreciate two parts of the infrastructure. First, the studios sit on an uninterruptible power supply that switches automatically to backup generators, which Mann Made says is in place to guarantee zero workflow downtime. Second, dedicated fibre lines of up to 1 Gbps provide the connectivity, designed to keep streams stable, carry remote feeds and maintain clear live distribution.
On the hospitality side, clients can use a client lounge, green rooms, make-up stations and serviced office space. Add-ons on request include complete live broadcast control room setups running vMix or Tricaster, bespoke 3D virtual set designs, post-production and editing suites, motion design support and catering for executive guests. Outside crews and creative teams are welcome to work on site, while Mann Made staff stay with the core infrastructure to oversee technical safety.
From the stage to the screen under one roof
The studios sit within a much bigger operation. As an event management company, Mann Made handles strategy, concept, pre-production, the event days themselves and post-event measurement. Each project opens with a deep dive into what the event needs and what it should achieve. From there the team builds a detailed guest experience presentation and a master schedule, and afterwards repackages event content into a post-event campaign. Results are measured with tools such as surveys sent through a custom eventing app.
Examples from the agency’s portfolio show this approach at work. Mann Made engineered and delivered the first Singularity University South Africa Summit and has produced it every year since, hybrid virtual editions included. Its homepage also describes a SingularityU event at the Sandton Convention Centre that brought in a custom metaverse component and welcomed more than 1,500 attendees. Further projects on the site include the Yoco Next hybrid product launch at The Playground in Johannesburg, story-led executive presentations for MTN’s Global Leadership Gathering at Gallagher Convention Centre, a two-day unconference with more than 30 sessions for SA Future Trust, and the kit launch campaign for Kaizer Chiefs and Kappa.
Editing and motion graphics on site
Since Mann Made controls its full production chain, anything shot in the studios can be edited, graded and finished without leaving the building. The agency’s video production service centres on helping people feel at ease in front of the camera, with speaker coaching, clear story structure and a predictable process. Published packages run from short CEO messages, expert interviews, testimonials and internal training videos up to brand stories, website hero videos and event highlight reels. Custom cinematic work, such as television commercials and flagship brand films, is quoted separately.
On the live side, Mann Made also works as an animation studio specialising in motion design for stages and screens. Its event animation output covers animated logo reveals, ambient stage wallpapers, lower thirds and speaker titles, segment openers and transitions, branded countdown clocks, sponsor loops, winner reveal animations and animated infographics, in either 2D or 3D. During a hybrid broadcast these elements keep the brand in view for people in the venue and those watching online, while clean transitions stop the programme from stalling between speakers.
The case for booking early
For many South African companies, October marks the shift from planning year-end events to actually producing them. Leadership summits, awards nights, product launches and year-end galas tend to bunch up between now and early December, and nearly all of them now feature recorded or streamed content of some kind. Securing studio time, preparing virtual sets and building motion graphics packages all need lead time, so teams that lock these in during October give themselves more space to rehearse and polish.
Working from a studio can lower the risk, too. When executive messages, award segments or product explainers are recorded in a controlled setting before the event, the live show relies less on everything going perfectly on the night. Those pre-recorded pieces slot straight into the run sheet, and the live elements can stream from the same campus, backed by standby power and fibre.
Pairing AI tools with experienced crews
According to Mann Made, its model blends AI-augmented workflows with delivery led by people. The service list covers AI video, AI automation and software development, plus a robot experience offering for trade shows, exhibitions, keynotes and corporate events. The agency frames these tools as a faster route through storyboarding, concept prototyping and content creation, with seasoned crews taking care of the physical production on site.
Mann Made says more than 50 skilled professionals work on its in-house production floor, and it lists Johannesburg, Cape Town and Dubai as its locations. The business describes itself as pairing the personal touch of a family business with the infrastructure of an established agency, and it owns the value chain from creative concept through fabrication and logistics to post-production.
Brands, event organisers and agencies looking to talk about studio bookings, hybrid broadcasts, video or event animation in the months ahead will find full details on the Mann Made website at https://mannmade.co.za/.
