Port Elizabeth’s Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber is hosting the Minister of Public Enterprises, Malusi Gigaba, as its speaker and honoured guest at the chamber’s Annual General Meeting today.
The NMBBC AGM 2013 sees local business leaders convene at the Radisson Blu Hotel on the city’s beachfront, as the Business Chamber takes the opportunity to expand on its strategy moving forward.
The Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber has a vision: To build a competitive and sustainable city. This vision will be realized from the ground up, as we focus on putting the relevant supports in place to create a sustainable and enabling environment for business.
“To host Minister Gigaba as our guest and speaker is a privilege for the Chamber,” says CEO Kevin Hustler. “We take pride in providing our members with this opportunity to engage with this influential national leader. The Minister will provide insight into the national landscape within the Eastern Cape context.”
Minister Gigaba heads the Government’s shareholder department, which is responsible for Eskom, Transnet, South African Airways, Denel, South African Express, South African Forestry Company, Alexkor and Pebble Bed Modular Reactor.
Previously he served as Deputy Minister of Home Affairs. Gigaba is also a member of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the African National Congress (ANC).
The Annual General meeting of the Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber will take place this afternoon at the Radisson Blu Hotel from 4:00pm.
