Volkswagen South Africa has continued its partnership with the Nelson Mandela Bay stadium, and handed over five vehicles for use by its management for another year.
Stadium CEO, Stephan Pretorius and Volkswagen Group South Africa General Manager Communications, Matt Gennrich, were present at the handing over of a Polo Vivo (the top-selling vehicle in South Africa), a Golf VI, a Touareg and two Transporters.
“The stadium is a world-class facility and as we produce world-class cars, this sponsorship is an ideal fit. There are a number of initiatives that will be mutually beneficial that will result from this partnership,” said Gennrich.
“As stadium management we are thrilled to have renewed our partnership with Volkswagen for the supply of vehicles to the Nelson Mandela Bay stadium. I believe this partnership will go from strength to strength and assist us greatly in our sustainability efforts going forward,” said Pretorius.
