On the occasion of the Eastern Cape’s first ever Virtual Exhibition presented by Inkanyezi we asked exhibitors their opinions on the event and on business in general with specific reference to the Lockdown.
Teena Douglas from Lion Roars Hotels & Safari Lodges exhibiting in Hall 4 stand 258 shared these thoughts with MyPE:
What has been your experience of this Virtual Event?
I had only 4 visits from other exhibitors and 1 from a visitor. (that being said, that was while I was sitting at my desk which was 98% of the time). I think the initiative is great and will do it again. I have a few suggestions that might help with easing of finding who you want to meet when looking at the directory. I believe this is a great learning curve and will only improve with time and feedback.
What has been your experience of this Virtual Event? Yes
Other than your own stand, which exhibitor here is a ‘MUST VISIT’? Not sure. I visited 5 stands and 2 were very interactive and insightful
Your message to the organisers, Inkanyezi? Thank you for all the efforts and opportunity to participate. I think your team have done a great job in helping with queries and whatever else was asked.
Please share successful actions you have taken for your business during Lockdown? Be clear about the reality of what is happening. Create a strategy plan for 3 – 6 months and be very active in implementing the strategies. Measure and re-assess the progress to make a few changes when the results are not what you expected. Stay focused, be active and determined to get through lockdown. Work with what you are given.
Any suggestions on how to survive and thrive during and post Lockdown? Do a lot of intentional marketing. Keep connected to your clients and help them grow their businesses.
