POLOKWANE – The Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, supported by MEC for Transport and Community Safety Ms Mavhungu Lerole Ramakhanya had on Monday, 03 January 2022 conferred ranks to the newly appointed District Commissioners of Waterberg, Vhembe and Mopani Districts, and the Station Commanders of Thohoyandou and Burgersfort in an event held at Landbank Building, Provincial Commissioner’s Board Room.
It was fit for the management to effectively fill these posts which are aimed to amplify the momentum to the fight against crime, particularly the scourge of crimes committed against women and children in the province.

“Your job is not going to be easy because you are taking your duties at a fairly hectic time. It is upon you to inject fresh and new energy to the working environment and come up with the effective strategies to uproot the challenges of Gender Based Violence and Femicide. Thanks to the 16 units of FCS in the Province that managed to arrest 115 suspects for rape and other GBV crimes in a space of two weeks.”
