Letter of appreciation

My family and I would like to express our sincere gratitude to the public, the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature, political parties, the Van Stadens NG Kerk-congregation, family, friends and members of the media for their overwhelming support and encouragement during the illness of our husband and father, Pine Pienaar.

Pine loved the Eastern Cape and its people. He is at peace now and we have found solace in the knowledge that his work made a difference in the lives of many.

He fought a long and courageous battle with cancer. Your messages of encouragement carried him until the end. As a family we are beyond words for the incredible number of phone calls, notes and kind words following his passing last month. This support continues to help us to come to terms with his death and the gap that he has left.
