The outrage at the staggering amount of R15 Million (or was it R22 or R7 Million?) spent on what is basically a grassy open field with some ablutions and open stands is laudable.
What I find deplorable is that politicians are quick to say that under their watch things would have or could have been different.
LIARS.
The only reason why they say “under their watch” is because they want to keep control of the purse for themselves.
The National Party engaged in the same shady infrastructural spending tactics – they just had iron control over the media and NO PESKY Social Media!
The only reason why there is minimal cr@p in that province to the West of us is because they have a functioning administration less tainted by corruption than other provinces and the political leaders, to their credit, opted to NOT meddle with the administration.
BUT
The cracks are beginning to show in the Western Cape as the Administration realise just how strategic their input is and have now begun to make their voices heard in retaliation against the politicians refusing a 3.5% salary increase. Fair warning guys in blue – once the unions have you one the run the tipping point will be reached in terms of loyalty and corruption from people desperate for an increase in earnings.
Given the choice – who wold you trust more to spend your hard earned tax money? Politicians with zero to no accountability or Skilled Municipal Administrators governed by stricter rules than politicians?
As a Movement AIM promises to root out corruption and allow skilled administrators do what they do best.
