Dear All
Our next Know your Bay will take place this Tuesday 22 October with Dr Eckart Schumann, world-renown oceanographer and Mandela University research associate, who will describe sand movements forming our beaches in Nelson Mandela Bay, how human interventions and climate change have modified this natural movement and what can be done to maintain our beaches sandy.
It will be preceded by a short presentation by Mr Mervyn Brouard from the Wildlife and Environment Society of South Africa (WESSA) that will talk about the impact of 10 years of the WESSA alien clearing programme in Nelson Mandela Bay.
The event is taking place at Bayworld from 17:30 for 18:00 until 19:00. It is free and open to all.
Regards,
Lorien
