St George’s Park will be a hive of activity on Saturday 29 October when 800 children are expected to attend the annual KFC Mini Cricket Provincial Festival.
KFC Mini Cricketers from the City and surrounding areas will assemble at 10:00am for a morning of cricket. The festival is a showcase of young talent and gives coaches from the Hubs and Regional Performance Centres the opportunity to identify talent. Youngsters who show promise are recruited to the Hubs and Regional Performance Centres for further elite coaching for hardball cricket.
“We are looking forward to a great day with our young cricketers. It is a wonderful experience to see these youngsters so eager to play cricket. Our coaches will be on the look-out for exceptional talent and with future coaching we hope that these promising players will one day become our future stars” said Gugu Ndulama (KFC Mini Cricket Administrator).
