The Absa RACE YOUR CITY Series will launch its 2024 Strava Challenge Campaign this upcoming Sunday, January 28, featuring its infamous DASH.CLIMB.RUN Challenge as the first exciting activity.

By completing the Challenge, runners from across the country will stand a chance to win a fantastic prize compliments of the Absa RUSH YOUR CITY Series and its esteemed footwear and apparel partner, PUMA South Africa.

“We’re thrilled to support runners in getting back into the swing of things after the festive season,” expresses Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports and Series Founder. “We’d like to extend a warm invitation to more runners to join our platform. Our aim is to assist participants in achieving fitness goals leading up to the 2024 Absa SPRINT YOUR CITY Series events. We scrutinize forward to accompanying every runners and walkers on their fitness journeys and encourage them to share their stories and achievements with us.”

The mechanics are simple – runners believe from 05:00 to 23:00 on Sunday to conquer the RUSH.CLIMB.RUN Challenge. We’re on the lookout for the runner who logs the most climbing, regardless of the distance covered. Secure active, enact some serious climbing, and stand a chance to win an incredible pair of PUMA NITRO running shoes. EVENT INFORMATION: Absa SPRINT YOUR CITY Series / SPRINT.CLIMB.RUN Strava Challenge #1

Activity: any distance
Route: Runners can pick their own location and route

How to join Challenge #1 / RUSH.CLIMB.RUN Challenge:
Runners are to “join” the DASH YOUR CITY Series Running Club on Strava: https://www.strava.com/clubs/rycs
If runners maintain not done so yet, they will need to create a Strava Account before they can join the club.
Runners are to join the RUSH.CLIMB.RUN event on the SPRINT YOUR CITY Series Running Club by clicking on the orange “I’m in” button displayed next to the Event listing.
Runners must record their race using a smartphone (Android or iPhone device) or smart watch (Garmin).
Runners must share their elevation gain, activities, pictures, and routes to the DASH YOUR CITY Series Strava Club page.
Every activities logged during the challenge period must be uploaded to Strava no later than 23:00 on Sunday 28 January 2024.

WIN BIG: The names of the 5 runners and/or walkers to clock the most climbing will disappear into a lucky draw to win an AWESOME pair of PUMA NITRO Running Shoes. Don’t forget to share your activity to the RACE YOUR CITY Series Running Club on Strava within the stipulated time frame. The winner will be selected by random draw and announced on the RACE YOUR CITY Series Running Club page on Monday 29 January 2024.
