Join Ryk Neethling for a Unique Experience

9 November 2018 By Alan Straton

Mantis Group and Ch?sen offer a new kind of active, experiential wellness getaway, centred around a South African game lodge and led by local Olympian Ryk Neethling.

This week marks the launch of the inaugural Ch?sen Lifestyle Optimization Experience South Africa. A rewarding new concept in wellness hospitality, it combines the proven Ch?sen program for personal evolution with access to the natural environment and wildlife conservation at Founders Lodge by Mantis, adjacent to Shamwari Game Reserve in South Africa.

Ch?sen Experiences is a signature experiential learning program, tailor-made to influence mental, physical and emotional development so guests can operate at their full potential. The week-long itinerary is aimed at achieving an optimal state of consciousness, fostering positive self-exploration, fitness and community connections.

Guided physical and cognitive activities are based on scientific research and designed by the Ch?sen Life Optimization Architects: Olympic medalists, wellness doctors, nutritionists, strength and conditioning trainers, and professional coaches.

This South African experience is led by local host Ryk Neethling, an Olympic gold medal-winning swimmer, who has forged a successful career in business and philanthropy as an entrepreneur, CEO of the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation South Africa and an ambassador for both the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation and Hope Through Action.

Bringing together functional fitness, nutrition, mindfulness and adventure challenges with a curated group of individuals, the week provides a platform for self-improvement and shared knowledge. Being immersed in nature, while embracing the conservation principles, further enhances participants’ wellbeing, happiness and personal growth. It’s also a game-changer for the game lodge experience, allowing guests to enjoy guided safari drives to see Africa’s Big Five (elephant, lion, Cape buffalo, leopard and rhinoceros), while connecting with the environment on a more meaningful level.

Mantis is committed to conservation and putting their guests in touch with the natural world for a renewed perspective. “By harnessing Ch?sen Experiences’ wellness expertise and research, our mission to establish a nurturing connection between humans and the environment comes to life in a tangible way,” says Paul Gardiner, Mantis CEO Beyond Africa.

Ch?sen is delighted to partner with the Mantis Group, which has unearthed some of the world’s most exceptional travel experiences, including Founders Lodge by Mantis near Port Elizabeth in South Africa’s Eastern Cape. Offering an inspiring sense of place, the luxurious six-suite retreat overlooks the serene bushveld comprising rare flora and fauna. Founders Lodge encapsulates the Mantis ethos ‘Man And Nature Together is Sustainable’, which aligns with Ch?sen’s pathways to self-discovery.

The launch location of this exciting partnership is fitting as Founders Lodge is the birthplace of Mantis and its visionary conservation philosophy. The week is ideal for people who want to recalibrate their place in the world through fresh experiences and authentic connections with nature and others.
