The John Tallant road upgrades will meet the official completion date of 7 August 2014.
John Tallant Road, and access to the N2, will be open for traffic next Friday 8th August!
The asphalt surfacing is complete, except for a correction at the Deal Party end.
Th concrete block paving either side of the N2 Bridge is till under construction, thus no access is possible.
The Road Markings are being painted at present and work on the sidelines, such as the sidewalks, street lighting, barricades and trimming of the verges will continue for a short period.
Whilst work continues on the sidelines, John Tallant will be narrowed down to two lanes – on completion there will be four.
Grahamstown Road will also be narrowed in a similar manner.
The contractor’s workmen are still around and you are requested to drive cautiously.
Enjoy your weekend!
