The EPRU announced today that EP Kings Flanker, Jacques Potgieter will be leaving the EP Kings at the conclusion of this years Absa Currie Cup campaign and joining the Bulls.
Apparently Jacques decided not to wait for the ascendancy of the EP Kings into Super Rugby in 2013 and has decided to move to Pretoria in order to compete in the 2012 Super Rugby season for the Bulls.
EP Kings head coach, Alan Solomons, held talks with Jacques and realised that Potgieter was determined to not wait another year before entering Super Rugby. Solomons said that he and the EP Rugby Union wish Jacques well for the future and wish to thank him for his efforts these past seasons.
Editors Notes: I am not so sure Jacques – the Bulls seem to be on a the back foot this Currie Cup season and the competition for spots in the A -Team is far more competitive than here in the old E of P. Besides that, you will be breaking many local girls hearts with your move and it seems to me that is is only the Bulls Cheerleaders that are svelte and comely; “Have you seen the size of some of the die hard tannies that support the BUlls?” Hulle sal jou dik moer met ‘n plat hand terwyl hulle melk tert maak met die ander!
In elk geval Jacques ons wens jou die beste vir die toekoms.
