International students say #helloNMMU

This week, with the orientation of Nelson Mandela University’s new international Study Abroad students, the university will be holding a week-long “instameet” competition.

NMMU accepts Study Abroad students from partner universities that are not covered by an exchange agreement. These students are full-time, non-degree-seeking students, who register for a variety of modules from one or more faculties for a period of six months to a year.

Each of the international student groups will be given time during their schedule to go out onto campus and meet a local student. They must take a photo with that student and post it with a short story onto the @nmmuint Instagram account using the #helloNMMU hashtag. Students will also be asked to post general photos of their activities each day.

Two winners a day will be chosen, one for the #helloNMMU photo and one for the general photo. There are prizes up for grabs, and the winning photographs will also be published on the TV screens at the International Office and the International Office’s Facebook page.
