This new installation is necessary as the current water pressure is too strong. The additional pipes will assist in decreasing pressure and thereby alleviate future burst pipes.
The engineers advised that they have delivered leaflets to all accessible post boxes advising that the excavations were taking place.
The following areas will be affected by the excavations which commenced 13 February 2014: Admiralty Way, Bradley Road, Brewer Road, Erasmus Drive, Nobbs Road and Tiran Road.
The project should take approximately 5 months, provided that the weather conditions remain favourable.
In the event the water supply needs to be cut, notification thereof will be placed in your post box.
PBA that the POS between Tiran / Brewer Roads will be utilized as storage space for the pipes.
There will be various sand piles along all the relevant pavements.
The engineers undertook to ensure that driveways will remain accessible at all times. In the event this needs to change, they will consult directly with the occupants.
