Dear Editor
I was recently invited to a night of ‘fun’ at a friends house. Shyte I was so angry with this ‘fun’ that I came home and did some research on this form of ‘fun’ that is apparently HUGE in PE at the moment and gullible fools out there continue to fall for this so called ‘fun’.
After being scammed out of one helluva amount of money some years ago I learned the hard way that there is no honour in business when the very first sales pitch line is based on a lie. Why am I saying this? Think about it… I was invited for an evening of ‘fun’ (my friend was probably told to say this). I asked if something was being ‘sold’ and my friend said; “No we are just going to have fun”. And that was the first lie they taught you my friend!
As far as my ‘fun’ is concerned I remain once bitten and twice shy. Now I educate myself before jumping into anything – the problem you are going to have should you wish to get out of this is; “They WILL have an answer for everything and they will play on your guilt and loyalties to the person that brought you into this … a bit of a toffee I agree”. On the other hand you could decide to go for it for a while and see if you can reach the ‘dream’ BUT in the interim it is costing you money AND they have all the information on your credit card, which means they can keep on taking your money and your ONLY defence would be to go and cancel the card – also if you signed up without reading their 25 page contract there will be all sorts of small print that could put you in a situation where you HAVE to stay a member for a certain period of time – now where does it leave you?
But let us look at the bigger picture here what was my friend selling?
- Cheap holiday club? or
- A way to make money?
The ‘fun’ that they are selling you is a method of making money that is nothing other than a Ponzie or Pyramid scheme hiding under the umbrella of a ‘holiday’ club! They asked my friend to tell us last night WHY my friend joined and his answer; “To earn money for my old age”. But you bought into a scheme that will only make other people rich. Nobody makes money with a pyramid scheme other than those fast talkers at the top.
Here are some links to some very interesting websites I found… and these are just the tip of a very large iceberg:
- http://www.complaintsboard.com/complaints/world-ventures-c247644.html
- http://worldventuresscam.blogspot.com/ – this one is very informative, look at the pyramid and see for yourself who makes the money!
In order for this to be sustainable somebody has to loose, it does not generate its own income but rather generates income on the gullibility of those yet to join! Think my friend, use the brain the good Lordy Lordy gave you because behind the hype of promised riches there are thousands of suckers that lost money!
If it sounds to good to be true it normally is…
Regards
Not Easily Suckered
Editors Notes: I have a couple of rules (if you answer YES to one then run):
- If the person cannot define or show you the product immediately then don’t buy
- If your are invited to make money by getting other people involved then run
- If the people selling to you are ‘Shiny, Happy, People’ (my term for scrubbed, brain dead morons) then stay away
- If the people selling tell you of how rich you are going to become, stay away
- If you are pressured into buying by many ‘Shiny, Happy, People’ don’t buy
- If you are presented with a contract with lots of small writing, walk away
- If your eyes glaze over at the number of levels and permutations offered then run, Forrest, run
- If you have to pay a monthly fee to get access to buying product rather invest that money in the stock market or on drugs, booze, your education or pay more tax voluntarily – you will be happier for it
