“There are so many people that depend on the city’s generosity. The Winter Woolly Week restore hope and bring warmth during the winter months”, says CEO of Community Chest EC, Beulah Lumkwana.

“It’s the little things we do that can make a huge difference in people’s lives,” said CECM CEO Clive Berlyn. “We are pleased to be in a position to add a smile to a young kid or bring warmth and sustenance to the many less fortunate people in the Eastern Cape”

“The CECM philosophy is to add value not only as the local fuel provider, but to support, uplift and care about the Eastern Cape communities around us. We are very proud to have been involved with the Winter Woolly’s Drive for the past few years.”

Community Chest and Caltex EC is encouraging Buffalo City residents to help spread some love and warmth to those less fortunate this winter.

Residents of Buffalo City can help us to make an impact with the Community Chest Winter Woolly Drive by donating blankets, warm clothing and non-perishable food to those in need.

In addition Caltex staff and Community Chest volunteers will be hosting a tin collection at the following intersections from 06:30 – 8:00:

Corner of Beach road/Old Transkei road
Corner of Union Avenue/ Crewe Road
Airport Intersection

At the same time you can also declutter and bring along your unwanted clothing and blankets.

There will be drop off points at various Caltex service stations until the end of July.  The first 10 people to drop off warm goodies on Friday, 1 July 2016 at Beacon Bay Motors and Caltex Gonubie will receive a complimentary Seattle coffee.

There will also be drop off points at Vincent Park Shopping Centre, Mdantsane City Mall, Super Spar Vincent and Sparks in Beacon Bay.
