Heavy Rain Forces Changes to Addo The Herald VW Cycle Tour Mountain Bike Races

3 February 2012 By Alan Straton

Due to waterlogged conditions on the course, organisers of The Herald VW Cycle Tour have announced changes to Saturday’s mountain bike routes.

Although the races will still go ahead as scheduled, race director Brad Jackson said certain single-track sections would be cut from the 80km Extreme and 60km Adventure for safety reasons. He said they would do their best to keep as close to the original distances as possible.

Updates will also be posted on Twitter (https://twitter.com/#!/In_the_Bunch) and Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/theheraldcycletour). The first race gets underway at 6:00 am on Saturday 4 February from the Addo Polo Club.
