The first Sunfoil Test Match between South Africa and Sri Lanka gets underway at the iconic St George’s Stadium today 26 December. All the preparation has been done and organisers are hoping for a bumper crowd to come and support the Proteas.
Local children from four children’s homes will enjoy an outing to St George’s Park on the first day where they will form the guard of honour.
Sponsors are ready to give spectators a fun experience at St George’s with loads of activations and giveaways taking place each day. Fans are reminded that they may bring in picnic baskets with snacks and soft drinks in plastic containers.
Gates opened at 8am with the first ball being bowled at 10am.
