Amy Bode writes; “Last year I was given a film project whilst still studying at NMMU. The project’s brief was to film a 2-minute profile on a reputable artist and conduct an interview with the artist. I chose the extremely talented Graham Jones, a sculptor based in Port Elizabeth. This was my first ever attempt at using my camera to video and so the sound might be a little rough. I surprisingly had fun with this project and now appreciate documentaries and short films a lot more!”
All filming and editing was done by Amy Bode Photography.
Graham Jones was born in Zimbabwe and matriculated at Grey High School, Port Elizabeth.
He obtained a National Higher Diploma in Sculpture at the Port Elizabeth Technikon.
Jones started his lecturing career at the Johan Carinus Art Centre in Grahamstown and then taught at the Free State Technikon in Bloemfontein.
Graham Jones is currently a part-time lecturer in sculpture at NMMU in Port Elizabeth.
Graham’s work was chosen for the 2003 and 2005 BKAA. (Art & Artists of the Eastern Cape, 2011).
