The Port Elizabeth Riding Club, based in Lorraine, has been selected to host the prestigious Back on Track 2018 Youth Championship in December 2018, which incorporates the SA Pony Rider and Junior Championships. Competitors will ride in a number of disciplines, including Show Jumping, Showing and Equitation.

This event attracts top class riders from all over the country, and they represent themselves at an individual level and their provinces at a team level. Club Chairman Charles Roberts commented that: “This show was last hosted in PE in 2013, and we currently have just over 237 riders entered to compete for these prestigious titles. We are both privileged to experience this high level of riding in our city, and to gain substantial economic benefit in our community by being afforded the opportunity to host this show”

The PE Riding Club has prepared for a spectacular event with many food stands, vendor stalls and entertainment. Spectators are encouraged and there is no entry fee.

The show runs from the 7th – 15th December and for any queries please contact the PE Riding Club on 041 367 4220 / peridingclub@telkomsa.net or visit the Facebook page: Back on Track 2018 Youth Championships Port Elizabeth

Passionate about Port Elizabeth and definitely NOT packing for Perth. Alan's ethos is epitomised in the words of Nelson Mandela; "I have fought against white domination and I have fought against black domination. I have cherished the idea of a democratic and free society. If need be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die." See more articles by Alan.
