Fresh new voices on Algoa FM

26 March 2026 By Alan Straton

Algoa FM has refreshed its presenter line-up with new voices and reshuffles.

Returning to her roots in Algoa Country is multi-talented presenter, actress, radio DJ, emcee and voice artist Anathi Seyisi, who grew up in Knysna.

She will be presenting the Algoa FM’s seven to 10pm show and Saturday lunch from April 1, after moving to Nelson Mandela Bay from Johannesburg where she was a presenter and member of the activations team on 947 since 2021.

Before joining 947, Seyisi presented “Wake up with Anathi” and later, “Anathi’s Nights” on YFM, which she joined in 2017 after only a five-month stint at community based Diepsloot FM.

Fluent in English, isiXhosa and isiZulu, television viewers will have seen her in the lead role of Ndoni Jele on ETV’s popular Harvest, which was later nominated for best drama at the South African Film and Television awards.

She also starred in one of South Africa’s biggest soapies, Rhythm City, where she played a famous 17-year-old.

“It is a win for Algoa Country listeners that we are be able to attract such talent back home after honing her skills in Gauteng,” says Algoa FM managing director Alfie Jay.

Wayne Hart, who will continue to co-host Breakfast with Lee and Charlie T, returns to the Algoa FM Top 30 on Saturday mornings.

“It is a big plus to be able to recruit from within and aside from being a popular Breakfast Show host, Wayne is an award-winning countdown presenter. His experience and presence shines through on chart shows and will be a treat for listeners and clients alike, while providing a big boost to our weekend growth strategy ,” says Jay.

New to the Buffalo City afternoon drive is another Gauteng recruit who returned to Algoa Country. Damian Schmidt, who has been presenting weekend lunch from noon to three in the afternoon, is relocating from Nelson Mandela Bay.

He will retain his Sunday lunch show and present the Afternoon Drive during weekdays.
Gordon Graham moves from the Afternoon Drive to connect with listeners in Algoa Country between seven and 10pm on Sundays.

“What this means for Buffalo City is that we now have a formidable activations trio in the form of Jeff Moloi, Damian, and Gordon, as we continue to build depth in the market”.

After two years of training and mentoring, Mark Kolesky and Twai Mamuss now each have their own shows.

Kolesky will present the four-hour show which starts at 10pm on Fridays, while Mamuss will host the four-hour show commencing at 10pm on Saturdays.

This line-up refresh was necessitated by Kea Zawadi’s personal decision to relocate to Cape Town, and Gordon Graham’s pressing schedule as a global Ironman commentator.

“The changes represent a delicate balance between youth and experience – and I’m pleased that we continue to attract quality young talent, while being able to draw on our strengths,” says Jay.
