With the summer season on our doorstep, Boardwalk hotel and Boardwalk mall are collaborating on a beach clean-up in the area around Shark Rock Pier in Summerstrand, and asking for volunteers to join their eco-crusade.
Cleaning up Hobie Beach will make the area a nicer, safer place for all beachgoers, and not only help it to retain its Blue Flag status, but improve the coastal and ocean ecosystem by removing plastic and other waste.
Volunteers should remember to wear sunscreen and comfortable clothing. Black bags will be sponsored by The Body Shop, with free iced coffees at Hello! Its Me! for all participants after the event.
