First of kind store launched in Zwide

23 February 2016 By Alan Straton

Vodacom has once again touched a township community, this time in Zwide in the Eastern Cape. Offering an internet café and a full range of Vodacom products and services, Vodacom has launched and opened an express shop at Kenako Mall that is the first of its kind in the Eastern region.

Managing Executive, Carol Hall says: “When we became aware of the pressing need for the Zwide community to have access to reliable internet services, we at Vodacom responded quickly to this call. The shop that we have opened in the Kenako Mall is one of the many solutions we take to communities across the country. As Vodacom we continue to strive to bring our customers more value through our products and services.”

Vodacom’s investment has also contributed towards job creation in the area. The community of Zwide has already directly benefited as a result of job opportunities which were realised from the construction phase till the opening of the shop. Additionally, Vodacom is fully committed to ensuring that it employs community members to fill positions created by the new store.

Through the power of our mobile network, Vodacom continues to live up to its commitment of accessibility and connectivity to all.

“This community will be proud to know they will be served by their own people, people from Zwide and in a language they are familiar with,” concluded Hall.
