First Ever Malt and Music

The Eastern Cape’s first ever Malt and Music Festival is happening at St Georges Park Cricket Stadium, Saturday, 4th August,10am to 5pm and it is cashless.

You can expect locally brewed beer, gin, picnic packs, fabulous food and a battle of local mixing musicians, with Adult egg & spoon races, horse stick races, sack races and kiddie’s entertainment!

We welcome individuals, corporates and teams to partake in our Adult egg & Spoon races, horse stick races and sack races, to determine the Malt & Music Festival Champions. Entries are R20.00 person per category and will see the top 3 finalist winners with podium finishes and champagne spraying ceremonies. We challenge you to be the Lewis Hamilton of Horse stick racing and enter now.

Our first local solo artists and bands to enter the battle of local mixing musicians competing for their share of R30 000 are Chapter Three, Twisted Truth, Ricky Moss, Namza from Centre Stage, Annebelle Hift from JBay and Frank the Panda with more streaming in.

Kiddies entertainment is an inflatable zone filled with jumping fun, games, a face painter and a chill zone, where you can book your kids in for R90 per child, for a fun day with friends.

The local line up of craft breweries to date are Table 58 brewing, Dockside brewery, Ben Koppen Craft Beer, Brew Haha and JBCB – JBay Craft Brewery, with a variety of food stalls.

We also have a Coca-Cola teenage zone, where the teenagers can hang out and enjoy themselves.

The front of stage is demarcated as a picnic zone, where you can bring picnic blankets and cushions for grass seating, you will need to pre-book your picnic board online for R150.00 or purchase food at the festival with your cashless howler card, which you will need to acquire and load on entry.

The howler cashless card event system we are introducing is for the customer benefit to ensure fast ques, low risk and customer peace of mind. For an even better Malt and Music Festival experience we urge you to book your in-field parking and avoid walking the distance.
