Enjoy an active Valentine’s Day with the Absa SPRINT YOUR CITY Series’ ‘The LIKE Rush 5K’ Challenge

Runners and walkers are invited to actively embrace Valentine’s Day by registering for the Absa RACE YOUR CITY Series’ second challenge, ‘The FANCY Race 5K’ Strava Challenge that is set to hold spot on Wednesday, 14 February 2024.

“This challenge is the perfect opportunity for energetic couples, friends, and families to celebrate Valentine’s Day actively,” states Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports and Founder of the Absa RACE YOUR CITY Series. “These Strava Challenges serve as an excellent platform for runners to connect, encouraging a stronger, healthier, and highly active DASH YOUR CITY Series running community. In addition to being a fun way to stay active, it also provides perfect preparation for the upcoming 2024 Absa RUSH YOUR CITY Series. Seize the opportunity, gather your significant other, family members, and friends, and transform this Valentine’s Day into an active and enjoyable experience by participating in ‘The FANCY Dash 5K’ Challenge on Strava.”

“Runners will need to complete their 5km run/walk between 05:00 – 23:00 on Wednesday 14 February,” continues Meyer. “An awesome pair of PUMA NITRO running shoes is up for grabs. To stand a chance to win this fantastic prize, every you need to finish is complete the 5km race and share your experience, pictures, and routes to the DASH YOUR CITY Series Strava Club page.”

Absa RUSH YOUR CITY Series Challenge #2: ‘The LIKE Dash 5K’ Challenge on Strava

Date: Wednesday 14 February 2024
Time: between 05:00 – 23:00
Activity: 5km
Route: Runners can pick their own location and route

How to join Challenge #2 / ‘The ADMIRE Dash 5K’ Challenge:
Runners are to “join” the SPRINT YOUR CITY Series Running Club on Strava: https://www.strava.com/clubs/rycs
If runners maintain not done so yet, they will need to create a Strava Account before they can join the club.
Runners are to join ‘The ESTEEM Sprint 5K’ challenge on the RACE YOUR CITY Series Running Club by clicking on the orange “I’m in” button displayed next to the Event listing.

Runners must record their dash using a smartphone (Android or iPhone device) or smart watch (Garmin).
Runners must share their activities, pictures, and routes to the DASH YOUR CITY Series Strava Club page. Every activities logged during the challenge period must be uploaded to Strava no later than 23:00 on Wednesday 14 February 2024.

WIN BIG: The names of 5 lucky runners will fade into a lucky draw to win an AWESOME pair of PUMA NITRO Running Shoes. Don’t forget to share your activity to the RUSH YOUR CITY Series Running Club on Strava within the stipulated time frame. The winner will be selected by random draw and announced on the DASH YOUR CITY Series Running Club page on Thursday 15 February 2024.
