Ending a Perfect Sporting Weekend on a LOW!

22 October 2023 By Alan Straton

The Dafabet Warriors played against the North West Dragons at St Georges Park in the CSA One Day Cup on Sunday 22 Ocober 2023.

Enetering the ground I was buoyed up by our National Cricket and Rugby teams great outcomes yesterday and was expecting to end the weekend on another high with a Warriors win.

The North West Dragons won the toss and elected to field – this was NOT the Warriors first loss of the day as the Dragons proceeded to demolish the Warriors who only managed a paltry 94 runs all out after 34.5 overs.

After lunch the Dragons shrugged off the Warriors attempt to bowl themselves back into contention in the competition by dashing the Warriors hopes in over number 21 and winning by 7 wickets with a final score of 97/3.

CSA One Day Cup Man of the Match – NW Dragons Ruan de Swardt – 4/17 in 10 overs.
