The CDC recently embarked on a stakeholder road show, starting in Nelson Mandela Bay, to report back to communities on Coega’s progress and also to inform and empower them about opportunities and developments at South Africa’s premier industrial development zone (IDZ). The outreach also aims to inform residents about the benefits offered by the organisation such as job and training opportunities, and corporate social investment initiatives. Two of the initial events remain this week, one tonight at Nangoza Jebe Hall and tomorrow at the Port Elizabeth Opera House. Sessions start at 5:30pm. The CDC is “on a mission to engage people throughout the province and South Africa” and the stakeholder sessions will continue through to the end of the year, the organisation said today.
