The Eastern Province Provincial Women’s team heads to Oudtshoorn next week to participate in the inaugural CSA Women’s Provincial Week taking place from 2 April 2024.
The team have had some significant wins over the past few months.
The team is currently top of Pool A with 17 points in the 50 over competition and third in the T20 competition.
It is also second on the log across all pools with North West three points ahead to top the log.
Pool A match results are as follows:
Vs Border Nyati
50 over match – EP won by 161 runs

Jana Nell (2/6ov), Lee Ann Glass (2/4ov) and Jordan Coe (2/3ov) produced match winning results.
T20 – EP won by 7 wickets
Alu Dunga top scored with 39* and Jordan Cole took 2 wickets in her 4 overs.
Vs Border Kei
50 over match – EP won by 3 wickets
Alu Dunga 32, Amber Botha 27*
Taking the wickets were Jana Nell (2/7ov) and Apilile Adonosi (2/6ov)
T20 – EP won by 7 wickets
Amber Botha 38*
Iman Bonnasse took an incredible 6 wickets in her 4 overs supported by Apilile Adonisi taking 2 tickets in 4 overs.
Vs Boland
50 over match – EP won by 207 runs
Top scoring was Jana Nell (88) and Amber Botha (53)
A stellar 5 wickets in 6 overs by Vuyo Bonya supported by Jordan Cole and Jana Nell both taking 2 wickets.
T20 – EP lost by 7 wickets
The match was reduced to 13 overs and Boland was the stronger team on the day.
EP Women’s team will now play 5 matches in the CSA Women’s Provincial Week.
