Retired Mermaid turned Divemaster, Travel Writer and Blogger – Viktoria Urbanek travels with her beloved Dirndl taking great photos across the globe. The Dirndl is a traditional Austrian dress – not only worn on Sundays and holidays.
Viktoria has taken her Dirndl to countries such as: Mexico, Indonesia, Guatemala, Belize, Canada, Venezuela, Spain, Chile, United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and many more.
See images of many of these places on Viktoria’s blog, Chronic Wanderlust.
Urbanek was part of the crew filming the Sardine Run during the last week of February 2019 when local tour operator, Rainer Schimpf, was photographed in the jaws of a mighty Brydes Whale.
A really classic photo would have been one of Viktoria in her Dirndl in the mouth of the Whale – one can dream can’t one?
The crew spent 12 days in Port Elizabeth filming the Sardine Run.
