The Democratic Alliance Women’s Network (DAWN) will host a silent protest against the abuse of women and children in New Brighton tomorrow. This protest is a reaction to the plight of more than 200 schoolgirls who were kidnapped by the Nigerian paramilitary network Boko Haram in April this year along with the multiple sexual offences against women and children in the Eastern Cape.
Details of the event are as follows:
- Date: Saturday, 14 June 2014
- Time: 10:00
- Venue: Salvation Army in New Brighton (At the centre of Norongo and Ntsekisa intersection just after the Nangoza Jebe Hall).
