Port Elizabeth is bursting with young dancing talent.
The recent Friendly City Dance Festival showcased many of these talented youths, with Natasha Tait Dance Studio being one of the prominent schools of dance to enter. Tait Dance studio, which has been operating since 1990 in Port Elizabeth, caters to all aspiring dancers from as young as 3 years of age.
On 14 July, the studio entered into another prestigious dance competition, namely the Dans In Jou Taal competition held in Port Elizabeth. Dancers performed in front of very experienced and well known judges, namely Sharonne van der Vyver, and Andre Calitz.
“No excuses” and “Banji”, two of the dance groups that performed have qualified to dance in the final of the Dans in Jou Taal competition, which showcases some of the best dance groups around the country.
The final of the competition is to be held in Pretoria East at the Reddford House the Hills on 31 August 2019 and will be televised on kykNET NOU later in the year.
We wish these young dancers, aged between 10 and 14 years old, all the very best of luck as they represent the Eastern Cape in this exciting dance competition.
