Could we see a Momentum One Day Cup Final in Port Elizabeth?

After a nail biting 1 run loss to the Cobras in Paarl last night the Chevrolet Warriors will come out guns blazing against the Unlimited Titans in their final match of their Momentum One Day Cup round robin to be played in East London on Friday 8 November.

The 4th on the log Titans need a win against the 2nd on the log Warriors to qualify for the play offs.

CSA Statistician Andrew Sampson supplied the permutations below with regard to the play offs and finals:

  • Warriors will qualify for the playoffs if they get any points from their match against Titans.
  • If Warriors beat Titans they will finish at least 2nd, unless Dolphins win with a bonus point and go ahead of Warriors on net run-rate.
  • Warriors will finish first if they beat Titans with a bonus point and Cape Cobras lose to Dolphins.
  • Warriors will not qualify if they lose to Titans with a bonus point and Dolphins get any points from their game against Cape Cobras.

Should the Chevrolet Warriors finish 2nd or 1st on the log the qualifier (12 November 2013) or final (15 Noovember 2013) will be played at Axxess St George’s.
