Support from the Propella Business Incubator in Humerail, Port Elizabeth, is helping black and youth-owned start-up companies to compete in the market-place.

One of the first to join Propella was fibre optic installation specialist Axotel, which joined the hub in November 2015.

“Over the last six months Propella and its team have helped us acquire project funding. We have a business mentor who has given us much-needed advice and we have an office space from which we can work from,” says founder and owner Apelele Kama.

Services offered by Axotel include installations in civil works, as well as the floating, splicing and testing of optic cables.

“We also do Wi-Fi and LAN set up and installation of PABX systems” says Kama.

With the support of Propella the company is able to provide a turnkey service. It has the expertise to take a project from inception to client hand-over, he says.
