Coega Dairy

16 December 2012 By Port Elizabethan

Join Port Elizabeth and MyPE in congratulating Mover and Shaker, the Coega Dairy:

After just one year in business, the Coega Dairy, located in the Coega Industrial Development Zone (IDZ), has scooped its first national award from the Shoprite Group for Housebrand/Private Labels Supplier of the Year. They were honoured at an awards ceremony in Stellenbosch earlier this month.

Coega Dairy opened their doors in November 2011 and has since been a supplier of Housebrand/Private Labels for Shoprite and Checkers. Coega Dairy Marketing Head, Dr Marlize Terblanche-Smit, said the Shoprite ‘Big Brand Supplier of the Year’ Award has grown into a credible accolade and it is accepted with pride by Coega Dairy. “It is a credit to everyone at Coega Dairy for what has been achieved in a short time. This has been as a result of a huge effort from all involved.” Dr Kleynhans said they were competing against more than 100 suppliers for the prestigious award. “We faced many challenges, but we are pleased to say we delivered to our clients’ expectations.” Suppliers who are nominated for this prestigious accolade are evaluated on criteria such as the extent to which they have contributed towards the supermarket group’s growth and improved earnings, their stockholding and service levels, the efficiency of their administration processes, and the manner in which they provide support at store level i.e. the frequency of merchandiser visits to the stores.
