Coega adds Lilizela award to their accolades

The Coega Vulindlela Accommodation and Conference Centre (VACC) has been recognised for its state of the art Meetings, Exhibitions and Special Events facility at the recently held Lilizela Awards in East London. Further capping a nomination at national Lilizela Awards to be held in Johannesburg on the 29th of October 2017.

“This accolade is important as it affirms the value proposition offered by Coega VACC. We pride ourselves with the experience that people receive in our facilities and are optimistic on our chances to do well at the national awards,” says Miliswa Filtane, VACC Key Accounts Manager.

The VACC won the provincial inner for Meetings, Exhibitions and Special Events (MESE) Award, which falls under the three-star category for Service Excellence in 2017. Adding to that, the VACC was also a provincial finalist for the two-star Guest House Service Excellence Award under the accommodation category for 2017.

The Lilizela Tourism Awards give national recognition to establishments and thus boosts the establishments profile nationally and internationally. Receiving an award such as this boosts the credibility of the Coega Vulindlela Accommodation and Conference Centre as this gives the tourism industry in Port Elizabeth the encouragement it needs to keep going further and doing better.

The objective of the Lilizela Tourism Awards is to bring recognition as well as reward tourism players and businesses who work with pride to deliver a world class service and product. The delivery of the Lilizela awards assists with the growth of South Africa’s global destination competitiveness.
