Cindy Preller
NMBBC Communications Manager, Cindy Preller

Join Port Elizabeth and MyPE in congratulating Mover and Shaker, Cindy Preller from Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber:

In May, the role of Communications Manager was taken up by a well-known name in local journalism, Cindy Preller. Cindy is an award-winning journalist who leaves the business pages of The Herald newspaper to step into this key role in our organisation. Cindy, who graduated with a Master’s degree in Journalism and Media Studies from Rhodes University and completed her undergraduate and Honours degrees at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, has spent the majority of her career in local media, fulfilling various roles at the PE Express, Die Burger (Oos-Kaap) and The Herald.

Her most recent assignments include being the News editor of Die Burger (Oos-Kaap) from 2010 and Business reporter at The Herald from 2013. She is a three-times winner of the Regional Vodacom Journalist of the Year Awards in various categories, a nominee for a Media24 Legends Award and came in fifth position in the Sanlam Community Newspaper Awards in the Local Government Category. We are very pleased to welcome a communication professional of her calibre into the role, and look forward to enabling her to facilitate effective communications on our behalf.

Passionate about Port Elizabeth and definitely NOT packing for Perth. Alan's ethos is epitomised in the words of Nelson Mandela; "I have fought against white domination and I have fought against black domination. I have cherished the idea of a democratic and free society. If need be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die." See more articles by Alan.
