I ventured into the shops very briefly this morning. Eish! Glad I was in and out quickly. Christmas shopping is in full swing and the shops are a madhouse.

Opening of the Season Fireworks:
The Opening of the Season fireworks off Shark Rock Pier on 16 December is an annual institution here in Port Elizabeth, and partnered with a music event on the grass at Hobie Beach it means thousands of people flocking down to the beachfront for the occasion. We didn’t venture out there this year but it helps to have friends in high places. In this case the person was Kerry Wright of Millers Local who has an awesome view of the beachfront from her flat and got some stunning pics of the fireworks, one of which she allowed me to post for you.
