PRB Chair Steps Down

Amanda Blanc, chair of the Professional Rugby Board (PRB), is stepping down from the role and the Board of the WRU.Ms Blanc was appointed chair of the PRB in December 2019 and followed inaugural chair David Lovett into the role. The search will begin immediately to appoint a successor, with Blanc staying on as chair until a new appointment is made. Her international debut – for the Springbok Women against Kenya in August – lasted all of two minutes, so for Micke Gunter to be back in Green and Gold will be a massive relief.The Cell C Sharks player made a starting debut for the Women Boks in Stellenbosch, but as the very first scrum collapsed, Gunter picked up a knee injury. The Glasgow Warriors have signed utility back Tom Jordan on a short-term deal, with the 23-year-old joining from the 2021 FOSROC Super6 champions, Ayrshire Bulls, with immediate effect. SA Rugby and Rassie Erasmus have noted the decision of World Rugby’s judicial committee.Both parties confirmed they will exercise their rights to appeal the verdicts. Neither party will make any further comment until the process is complete.
