Buying property could be less stressful

2 March 2018 By Alan Straton

Property is an exciting but challenging industry, and no one understands this better than Aaron and Stanley Cohen from Cohen Property Developments. The brothers, who run the business together, have been going from strength to strength as they are continually investing in Port Elizabeth and supporting local industry and job creation. According to the Cohens the future of PE is bright and they really do put their money where their mouth is, by making a point of retaining a few properties from each of their developments for their own investment.

Port Elizabeth has experienced huge growth over the past few years and this has necessitated the creation of new suburbs, and thus the building of new well-designed and well-priced family homes. Cohen’s focus has been on the developing suburbs of Parsons Ridge, Fairview, Pinelands, Mount Pleasant, Kamma Heights and Walmer. This is a company that is in it for the long haul, as they have projects in the works for the next 10 years, including a retirement village and four freehold complexes in Parsons Ridge, a 32 unit block of flats in Pinelands, and a 12 unit block of flats in Mount Pleasant, all in addition to their current projects all over town.

Part of Cohen’s recipe for success is their ability to stay on top of all the latest property development trends. They were the first to bring the popular duet development concept to Port Elizabeth. This building model results in property with huge investment potential and buyers throughout South Africa are jumping at the chance to acquire these homes. Cohen’s long-term plans are to keep building in this fashion, both in the suburbs they are currently working, as well as in new up-and-coming areas.

In 2017, Cohen was the Greyvensteins Developer of the Year for the second time in a row. They are also the biggest developers of residential property in Port Elizabeth. While they do work in the commercial property field, Cohen’s main focus is the local residential market. Their lifestyle consultants are there to guide potential buyers as to the best option for their family’s needs. Buyers are being given the unique opportunity to buy brand new property with bespoke high-end finishes at an affordable price point. The company also assists all potential home owners in getting bond financing – they’re involved every step of the way. The fact that you buy directly from the developer, means that you can count on their commitment from start to finish.

For buyers who want to move straight in, there are completed properties readily available; alternatively, you can design your house from the beginning of the building process or just choose all your own interior finishes. For those who are wanting to buy property as an investment, Cohen offers the option of purchasing a property with a tenant already signed up for a year. This means your investment can start paying off immediately. Whatever your specific needs, Cohen has a great option for you.

Buying property is stressful. The whole procedure involved can get very complicated and confusing, and it can also be intimidating to spend such a significant amount of money. For most people, their home will be their biggest ever financial outlay. The team at Cohen Property Developments understand this. They are a family business in every sense of the word; everyone who works for or with the company (surveyors, attorneys, architects, lifestyle consultants to name a few) is part of the Cohen family and understands the high standards expected, and the resulting excellent service is a big part of the reason that they’re perfectly positioned to help you and your family acquire your dream home.
