BRT – the thlot pickens

When it comes to the BRT / IPTS (pick your abbreviation) and the infighting my eyes tend to glaze over with exasperation at the antics of the various players – of course with so much smoke there has to be a fire which probably is fed with the stink of corruption.

Frankly the whole process should be scrapped and restarted – maybe then the call for and awarding of bids will happen in a fair environment.

In the meantime a useful and efficient addition to our city’s transport is being treated like a small child in an acrimonious divorce action and runs the real risk of costing ratepayers a further heap of moola.

I received the following e-mail from ‘Milton Peters’ with regards to the Lumen Technologies, Aurecon and political involvement in the BRT saga:

There is certainly a lot of info posted on the www.facts2share.org site and I found myself wondering just who created the site and what their motivation is. Unfortunately the whois for facts2share.org is hidden behind a Contact Privacy address so I have asked the registrant to let me know why they feel the need to hide behind layers of anonymity – after all information such as this is far more credible if given out by an identifiable person.
