Looks like young Brad Brown is also ‘doing it for charity’, just like Kirsten Britz and Alison Critchely – see: Athletes Halfway There WITHOUT Running a Step.
94.7 Highveld Dj Brad Brown supports the PinkDrive, and he will be going the extra mile when he also takes part in his first IronMan 70.3 Triathlon.
The Ironman is known as one of SA’s toughest challenges and is made up of a 1.9km swim, 90km cycle and 21.1 km run making a total of 70.3 Miles.

Brad is making a call out to all those who have a loved one struggling with cancer or those who have lost a loved one due to cancer to give a donation for a particular mile for his Ironman challenge. Brad will then compete on behalf of that loved one for that mile.
“Having lost my mom to breast cancer last May I’m passionate about making a difference and trying to make sure no one else has to go through what my mom went through. Early detection of breast cancer saves lives and the money I raise doing events like the Ironman goes towards early detection education campaigns and scans.” said Brad Brown.
“Its going to be a long hard day out in the water and on the road but nowhere near as tough as what people go through who fight breast cancer with all their being.“ added Brad.
“We pride ourselves on bringing breast health to SA women in both the private and public sectors with the help from supporters like Brad Brown who has adopted the cause. Brad has played such an important role in raising funds and being an admirable and courageous ambassador.” said Noelene Kotschan CEO of the PinkDrive.
Once the donation has been made Brad is urging donors to please email cecile@causemarketing.co.za with a write up about their loved one that he will be competing in support/memory of as well as the mile the donor would like him to do for them.
