The scenes at the Democratic Alliance Victory celebrations on Vuyisile Mini Square in Port Elizabeth on Saturday 6 August 2016 reminded us older hacks of the defiance campaigns that brought all like minded South Africans together before the dawn of democracy in 1994.
Many remember that delicious feeling of believing implicitly in the correctness of that cause, the camaraderie and excitement that all felt in great gatherings and the inevitability of a better life for all.
One can’t but feel that the ANC has passed that mantle on to the next bunch of revolutionary South Africans who have a clear vision of development across the board.
