Before You Sign an ERP Quote: Bizmatics in Centurion Publishes Plain Guides on Budgets, Data Clean-up and Go-Live Week for SA SMEs

CENTURION: Most small businesses buy an ERP system once, and many find out only after go-live that their stock codes were a mess, their reports were never defined and nobody planned the training. Bizmatics, the Centurion ERP and systems integration firm, has put a set of free ERP guides online so owners and finance managers can work through those questions before a contract is signed.

What the guides cover

The guides follow the order a real project runs in. They start with an ERP buying guide and a budgeting guide, then move to an SME process review, data clean-up for items, customers, suppliers and opening balances, stock control rules and reporting requirements. The last guides cover integration planning, branch rollouts, change management and go-live readiness, including the decisions that come up in launch week.

Written for the teams who do the work

“The quote is the easy part. The hard part is the spreadsheet of 4,000 stock codes that nobody has looked at in three years,” said Bizmatics’ implementation lead. “If a business cleans that up and agrees its month-end reports before we configure anything, the go-live is a quiet week instead of a fire drill.”

Bizmatics works with wholesale distributors, retail groups, light manufacturers, food producers and medical suppliers from Centurion, with project and support work in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban, Cape Town and Gqeberha.
