Hi All,
With reference to the John Tallant Road temporary closure, I heard complaints on the radio this morning about the traffic light at the intersection, being stuck on “red”!
Well it seems that motorists did not read the signs, and deviate through Swartkops!
We also had a few sign boards stolen after dark, which does not help our cause!
In any case, the Contractor did not stick with the plan and, exceeded all expectations by completing the critical part of this intersection by Sunday evening, ahead of schedule!
We have managed to set the traffic lights back to their normal cycle.
Work is due to continue at this intersection over the next two days, so please take care, as the road width is restricted!
Large multi-axle trucks are advised to take alternative routes.
Regards,
John Lochhead, NDT
